Stage IV Melanoma Survivor

In August 2018, Anne received a devastating diagnosis of Stage IV Melanoma, her bones were riddled with it. She was told it was incurable and any treatment she received would only be to gain as much time as possible. The historic prognosis of her diagnosis was 12-24 months, though immunotherapy treatment was improving those odds.

Just 97 days after Anne's diagnosis she was clear of cancer and to this date has remained so. She had a complete metabolic response to treatment which means she hasn't had any further treatment since 2018.

Anne recognises she is extremely lucky in her response to treatment, only 50% of advanced Melanoma patients respond to Immunotherapy.

She is a mad keen ocean swimmer and loves
nothing better than starting the day with a swim out to Wedding Cake Island in Coogee where she lives.

She has two independent adult sons who constantly show her new ways of looking at the world.
